Artemis Expands Blockchain Analytics Suite with Support for 10 Polkadot Ecosystem Chains

Artemis, a leading blockchain analytics platform for some of the largest International and US based digital asset capital allocators, announces integration of ten new Polkadot ecosystem chains: the Polkadot Chain (aka relay chain) and Acala, Astar, Centrifuge, Bifrost, Neuroweb, Moonbeam, Frequency, Mythos, and Hydration.

Artemis, a leading blockchain analytics platform for some of the largest International and US based digital asset capital allocators, today announced the integration of 10 new Polkadot ecosystem chains. This expands Artemis’ monitoring and analysis capabilities for this growing multi-chain network and Polkadot's exposure to some of the largest digital asset investors.

Comprehensive Analytics for the Polkadot Ecosystem

This strategic expansion brings complete visibility into the Polkadot ecosystem through the Artemis Terminal, featuring analytics for:

  • Polkadot's relay chain and its core functionality
  • 9 key Polkadot ecosystem rollups including Acala, Astar, Centrifuge, Bifrost, Neuroweb, Moonbeam, Frequency, Mythos, and Hydration.
  • Cross-chain activity and XCM transactions between parachains and cross-chain activity between Polkadot chains and other ecosystems.
  • Single interface for metrics comparison across Polkadot ecosystem chains and other chains and ecosystems.
  • Further metrics distribution through integration with Artemis Excel and Sheets plugins.

"By adding comprehensive support for the Polkadot ecosystem, Artemis is addressing the growing demand for multi-chain analytics in one of the earliest and major blockchains," said Jon Ma, CEO at Artemis. "Our institutional clients have been asking for Polkadot data. Now, our institutional and retail users can track, analyze, and get insights from Polkadot ecosystem activity with the same depth and precision they've come to expect from our data platform."

What’s Happening in the Polkadot Ecosystem?

The Polkadot community has been building for the long term sustainability and growth of the ecosystem. With Polkadot 2.0 features rolling out, and JAM to follow, the Polkadot ecosystem is expecting a whole new era of growth that Artemis’ platform is positioned to display and allow investors, institutional and retail, to track. Today, it is a common misconception that Polkadot’s main chain, Polkadot Chain (aka relay chain), commands most of Polkadot ecosystem activity, given the large market cap. However, when you take a deeper look, ecosystem chains harbor the most usage.

Frequency, an ecosystem chain focused on revolutionizing infrastructure for renewable energy, stands apart from the pack in terms of transactions, registering 7.8M transactions in February, with the second being Mythos with 3.3M while Polkadot relay chain only registered 443K transactions (Artemis).

Similarly, the Polkadot Chain is not the leader in other meaningful metrics such as TVL and DEX Volumes, where other chains that are more focused on DeFi lead the Polkadot ecosystem such as Hydration (Artemis), a scalable appchain uniting swaps, lending and stablecoin transfers, and Moonbeam (Artemis), a chain specifically for DeFi developers in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Data Partnerships Enhancing Ecosystem Coverage

To provide the most comprehensive analytics for the Polkadot ecosystem, Artemis has established a close data partnership Parity Technologies, and built their analytics based on data from Parity’s DotLake. It would not have been possible without the combined efforts of the data team at Parity Technologies and Artemis.

"At Parity Data, we thoroughly enjoyed working closely with the amazing Artemis Analytics team to bring Polkadot ecosystem data onto their open-source platform, leveraging Dotlake,” said Pavla Mijic, Data Platform Lead at Parity technologies. “This partnership enhances transparency, making comprehensive Polkadot data accessible to both institutions and the public, aligning with our shared vision for open crypto analytics."

Availability and Subscription Options

Analytics for all 10 Polkadot ecosystem chains are available to Artemis users starting March 12, 2025. Access options include:

  • Free basic metrics for Polkadot relay chain available to all registered users
  • Free basic metrics for Polkadot Ecosystem chains available to all registered users
  • Unlimited CSV downloads of Polkadot and Polkadot ecosystem available to Artemis Pro users
